NZ WOMEN WIN INTER-PACIFIC COMP!!!!!

New Zealand held the annual Inter-Pacific Spearfishing Competition in Whitianga recently. The comp was blessed with spectacular weather with 5 not variables for most of the week and 20m+ visibility.
Shirley Dryden and Jess Whiddett came 1st place in the Women's event. They won with a massive 12 fish lead.
The New Zealand men's team put up a great fight coming in on 3rd place, Tahiti place second and arched rival's Australia took out the cup with 1st place. Below are some photos of the event.

At 5pm on Sunday the 27th Feb Kelly King form Auckland's North Shore won this fantastic prize, Kelly had purchased a Spearfishing package for her partner Nick. Kelly, now Auckland's most loved girlfriend said they would keep the boat.

We also had a second and third place winner which won $1000 in petrol vouchers for second place and $500 for third.

On the day we had a free BBQ offering Kingfish bites, Sausages drinks and lollies for the kids. Everyone who turned up received a prize ranging from T'shirts to Spearfishing accessories. Here are some photos from the day.
